Our story Founded in 2001, Pataki Tiles is located in the heart of Europe, where artisan techniques meet modern technology. Its founder, Mátyás Pataki, initially studied sculpture and then went on to complete a Masters in Metal Design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest.

By studying the great masters of the past with respect and humility, we discover the details and techniques that we can translate into the present world creating something unique and truly artistic.
We believe that the encounter between the past and the present creates valuable and timeless creations that have powerful transformational power. Let  be it the transformation of a space or the feeling of delight that our works leaven in the observer.

Special offers: Pataki Tiles collection offers a wide range of varied and beautiful products. We specialise in producing quality ceramic tiles for floors and walls and in designing and making unique ornamental ceramics, profiles and industrial ceramic products.
We also conduct a great deal of research into reconstruction, looking at floor and wall tile techniques, materials and coatings in particular. It was for this reason that we were asked to reproduce the original inlay artisan floor tiles for All Saints’ Church on North Street in York, the originals of which were made in the 14 th century. We also reproduce stone tiles made in various patterns between the industrial revolution and the Art Nouveau period across Europe and North America.

Our mission At Pataki Tiles our aim is to make our mark on our built environment through exclusive projects, whilst combining the techniques of former masters and our knowledge of modern technology to help reclaim the
values of a bygone era.
Our exclusive special offers demonstrate the high quality of our artistic work. Our basic range, which consists of our most popular products, gives all homemakers who want to make their homes as beautiful as possible the opportunity to have unique and exceptional products around them.

Our design team works closely with both customers and architects in order to tailor the products to our customers’ needs.

Our team: There are ten of us in the Pataki Tiles team, but for special orders we
also involve expert partners from outside the business. Together, team
members ensure that the artisan touch is felt at each stage of tile design
and production, while the structure of the business allows us to react
immediately to customers’ needs.
